There he stood with blade in hand.
I didn't know what he had done. We saw the waves crash to the sand. I thought now we could be one. But the blood soaked through, the mask had been torn. Once the man I thought I knew, my love to him I had sworn. This was more than a wild spirt. A lie inside a blood stained knife. I only saw, I could not hear it. A broken trust for his new wife. So here I stand, toes in the sand. The ruby waves took me down. He did not care, he took his stand. I was left to slowly drown.
